Returns & Refunds

At Enchanted Tales & Ink, we take care to ensure every order is thoughtfully prepared and carefully packed. Please read the information below before making a purchase.

Change of Mind

Due to the nature of our products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including but not limited to:

  • Signed or personalised items
  • Limited edition items
  • Curated book boxes
  • Books
  • Journals and stationery
  • Candles
  • Skincare and self-care products
  • Intimate or personal-use items
  • Accessories and lifestyle products

Please choose carefully before placing your order.

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Intimate and Personal-Use Products

For hygiene and safety reasons, intimate and personal-use products are final sale and are not eligible for change of mind returns or exchanges.

This includes:

  • Adult or intimate products
  • Condoms, lubricants, cleaners and wipes
  • Any item that has been opened, unsealed or used

For faulty intimate products, items must remain unopened and in their original sealed packaging unless the fault cannot reasonably be identified without opening. We may request photo or video evidence to assess the issue.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us within 7 days of confirmed delivery.

To help us assess the issue, we may request:

  • Photos or video of the fault
  • Your order number

If the item is confirmed as faulty, we will offer either:

  • A replacement, or
  • Store credit

Refunds are not offered for faulty items unless required under Australian Consumer Law. Where a refund is required by law, it will be issued to the original payment method. If a return is required, we will provide instructions once the fault has been assessed.

Candles

Candles should be inspected upon arrival. We are unable to accept returns for candles that have been burned or used.

Please follow all candle care and safety instructions provided with your order and on the product listing.

By Request / Special Order Items

Items purchased via our By Request or Special Order process are final sale.

These items are sourced specifically for you and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged unless they are faulty.

Signed & Personalised Items

Signed or personalised items are not eligible for return or exchange for change of mind.

If a signed or personalised item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us and we will assess the issue in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Shipping Issues

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal carriers once an order has been dispatched.

If an item is confirmed as lost in transit, please contact us so we can assist in lodging an enquiry with the carrier.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a major fault, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
